London

Save it for later!

I will never forget the feeling of landing in London and finding scenes that I have only seen in my Student’s Book before.

London as a Remote Worker

My first visit was in February 2018. I went with my friend Facundo. We were both going to Australia, but we decided to stop in Europe because

I made a whole post about this London Winter Outfit.
If you were wondering, I got the one on the right. My idea was to review everything and then do the exercises, but my anxiety decided that I would take the tests and review the topics I failed on.
I was working remotely, so I visited Starbucks and other shops like Joe & The Juice. Also, some libraries and museums. I lost all my photos on my iPhone from that period, so some things only live in my memory.

My friend left for Australia, and I took a weekend off to visit my friend Manu, who was living in Oxford. She is the mind behind Verde y Consciente.

I had the English Breakfast for lunch many times.
This second-hand sweater was warm and cozy, perfect for the -11 degrees I had in Manchester. Unfortunately, it was 1kg, and I was traveling to Australia, so I had to leave it there. I still cry.
One morning in Liverpool, I visited the TATE Museum and found the Roy Lichtenstein exhibition. Incredible.
Traveling alone sometimes includes going to have dinner by yourself. It looks hard, but once you get used to it, you start enjoying your solo time.

In June 2018, I had a stopover in London and visited the city for 48 hours. I got a disposable roll camera and took some quick pictures.

I visited the Azzedine Alaïa “The Couturier Exhibition” at the Design Museum. A friend told me I would love it, and damn, he was right.

In the same museum there was a design exhibition, I had to visit it.

When I found “My First Sony” collection I had to take a picture, I felt we were matching.

Visiting a friend in London

In August 2024, I went back to London to visit my friend Lelu.

While scrolling on Instagram I found out that Sophie Hird was at Selfridges upcycling football shirts, and I had to get a shirt customized. I love the result!

With Lelu we met Lucila, another argentinian friend, and we went shopping. We visited some shops but my must-visit from now on are TK Maxx and Bravissimo, my new favorite shop to get unique bras that are actually my size. I made a full blog post about choosing the right bra size. I highly recommend it if you are a cup D+. That night, we all went together to see one of my favorite bands from Argentina: Miranda!

I feel this post is a mess, but I will be able to make it better next time, thanks for reading!

Save it for later!

With love
